Doug has been a proud resident of the valley since the early 1960s, deeply rooted in the community’s history and growth. His family’s legacy is etched into the landscape—his father’s masonry company crafted much of the stunning stone and brickwork that adorns countless local homes, terraces at the iconic Hot Springs Pool, and numerous commercial buildings throughout the valley.
With a shared passion for preservation and craftsmanship, Doug and his wife Candy, devote their free time to restoring charming turn-of-the-century homes, bringing new life to historic architecture with care and authenticity. He teaches college level Mechatronics courses developed in partnership with the National Science Foundation (NSF). Through his work, he helps equip students with the technical skills needed for tomorrow’s innovations while continuing to contribute to the community that has shaped his life.
